The experience of riding a motorcycle is unlike any other—while it’s exhilarating, it’s also potentially dangerous.  You’ve got to have your head in the game, and the best way to make sure it stays there is by keeping it safe and wearing a helmet. We all know how important it is to use a helmet when riding, but the world of motorcycle helmets is huge. XtremeCycL is here so that you can get yourself informed about what’s out there– so when the time comes to get a new motorcycle helmet or just add to your collection, you’ll be prepared and have an excellent resource at your disposal. For your convenience, XtremeCycL will focus on four areas of motorcycle helmet use:

1. Popular Helmet Brands— While a good brand doesn’t necessarily mean higher quality, knowing peculiarities of brands can be valuable when picking a motorcycle helmet. We’ve been around the block and can help you pick the right brand of helmet for your needs.

2. Types of Helmets—Type of helmet is an important consideration for any biker to make, as weight, safety factor, and style will influence your choice.

3. Helmet Colors– There are so many helmet colors available to choose from. What does your helmet color say about you? There are patterns and logos available on helmets that can help you get a signature look as you fly down the freeway.

4. Bluetooth and Camera Helmets– Modern Technology has taken helmets and put some pretty neat spins on them. You can now get helmets that are Bluetooth enabled, and cameras that will fit on your helmet so that you can record your ride!

My name is Sean Kennedy. Since 1982, I have been an avid cyclist.  I own and operate this site because I love riding, and love to connect with other people who share this passion. I was raised in Southern California.  When I was twelve years old, I began riding and would often frequent a place we called “The Top of the World” in Camarillo California. My first bike was a Yamaha Enduro 125. When I turned fifteen, I was able to get my first street bike—a 1987 Suzuki GSXR 750R. Looking back, I now realize that it was a bit too big for me, but I loved it. Riding during my adolescence was one of the best periods of my life, and I have been hooked to biking and riding ever since.  I now switch between riding an ’87 GSXR and an 1100R. Despite how many times I have been down on the ground and biffed, I still get back on the bike because I love it so much. I want my kids to inherit this same love for motorcycles, which is why helmets are so important to me. More than anything, they keep us safe. I want to be around for my kids and grandkids, so it’s important that I keep myself and everyone I love safe and protected.    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.avantlink.com/affiliate_app_confirm.php?mode=js&authResponse=c8dbcf90a5c90fd9a5c667f3838b2d5d22aaf027″></script>
